FAQ - How do i link a Google Doc or Spreadsheet to my Criya Website?

But what if you could effortlessly integrate the content from your Google Docs and Sheets directly into your website?  Criya makes it possible! 


This guide walks you through linking your Google Drive and incorporating valuable content from your Docs and Sheets into your Criya website.


Prerequisites:


A Criya account (Sign up for free if you haven't already!)

A Google account with the documents or spreadsheets you want to link


Step 1: Accessing Your Website & Adding a New Section


  • Login to your Criya account.
  • Click on the "Home" button on the left sidebar.
  • Select the "Edit Website" button to enter the website editing interface.
  • Click the "Add Section" button to display a pop-up window showcasing various Criya sections.






Step 2: Selecting the "List Plus Image" Section


From the available sections, choose "List + Image." This section is ideal for showcasing information with a combination of titles, descriptions, visuals, and clear calls to action (CTAs).



Step 3: Customizing Your "List + Image" Section


Now, it's time to personalize your section! Here's how:


Section Title & Subheading


Craft a captivating title for your section, for example "Case Studies and Publications." You can also add a subheading to provide further context.




Adding Cards


Click the "Add cards" button to create individual cards within the section. Each card allows you to showcase information with a combination of titles, descriptions, visuals, and clear calls to action (CTAs) for example link a Google Doc or Sheet.





Edit Cards: 


Click the "Edit" icon right before the delete icon. 


For each card:


Title: Enter a clear and concise title for your Google Doc or Sheet.


Description: Briefly describe the content of your linked document.


Add Image:


Upload an eye-catching image that visually represents the Doc or Sheet.



Call to Action (CTA) Button: 


This button allows visitors to access your Google Doc or Sheet directly from your website. 


Here's how to set it up:


CTA Button Text: Enter the text you want displayed on the button, such as "Read More" or "View Details."


Link: Paste the shareable link to your Google Doc or Sheet in the designated space.



Step 4: Saving Your Work


Once you've finished customizing this section and linked your Google Docs/Sheets, click the "Save" button. This integrates your chosen content seamlessly into your website.




Congratulations! You've successfully linked your Google Docs and Sheets to your Criya website, creating a dynamic and informative section for your visitors. Visitors can click the CTA button to go to your Doc or Sheet.


Repeat this process to add as many linked documents or spreadsheets as needed throughout your website.



Tip: Ensure your Google Doc or Sheet is set to "Anyone with the link can view" to grant website visitors access.
