What is Contact Segmentation:

Segmentation is the act of dividing your contacts into smaller groups, or segments, based on shared information or common characteristics. If you have several different audiences you're trying to engage with, segmentation can help you get the right message to the right people at the right time.

How to automatically add customers into Segments

(for any type of product)

ADVANCED SETTINGS : EMAILING & ORGANIZING ATTENDEES

Often times you may wish to email all attendees with specific details. To do so, you need to add all attendees into a single Contact segment.
Simply go to Advanced Settings > Audience Segment > Add attendees to a segment.

This will help you organize everytime someone books this product, and easily email them in the future.

How to manually Add a Contact to one or more Segments on Criya:

How to Create a Segment on Criya:

One of the best ways to organize your contacts is to create segments. This way you can label them to manage your engagement with them as a group.

With Criya, you can now group your customers or contacts into segments.

Examples of segments :

You can separate your contacts by tags or labels such as Mentee, Investors, clients, group session etc

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:

WHAT IS "ALL CONTACTS" VS "SUBSCRIBERS"

  • There are 2 default segments - All contacts and Subscribers
  • By default anyone who transacts with you on Criya are automatically added to “all contacts”. This is the master list. You can even import contacts outside Criya to add them here!
  • Additionally- all of these contacts are also added to “subscribers” - this is because they accept the c-spam message during checkout which says they are willing to accept communication from you.
  • If anyone “unsubscribes” from your email broadcasts, they will then be removed from the “subscribers” list but you will not lose them as they will remain under your “all contacts”

AUTOMATICALLY ADDING CONTACTS TO SEGMENTS
You can create additional segments - to control who you want to send what emails to.
  • For eg: Deb uses Criya to even do my recruiting (I run interview scheduling), speaker contracts (for CriyaCon), investor meetings scheduling
  • She don’t want everyone to get my “hey I’m opening a new course” email :)
  • So she configure segments right from the product itself.
  • If you go to  “Advanced settings” > “audience segment”!
  • When you setup the product, just setup the segment right here.. and they’re automatically all going to get added there.
  • This is most useful for group sessions and such so you can send out comms to them easily.

CAN I IMPORT CONTACTS FROM OUTSIDE CRIYA
Yes you can absolutely import all your contacts to Criya so they can be emailed from once place.
  • Simply upload the CSV and they shall be imported into the segment for you.
  • We’ve done this for people who wanted all their Calendly contacts imported here!
